Phillips de Pury & Company will provide you with a free estimate of your work at auction value. Please send a photograph of the property to the relevant department and include the following information: size, medium, date, and provenance. Alternatively, please contact the department directly by phone or email for further information.

When and Where to Sell
Phillips de Pury & Company conducts auctions in each collecting category in New York, London and Geneva throughout the year. A specialist will discuss with you the most appropriate season and venue to insure the strongest bidding for the property.

Consigning Property
The consignment agreement and property schedule set out the terms and conditions upon which Phillips de Pury & Company will offer your property for sale at auction.  Our specialist will suggest a catalogue estimate range and discuss any reserves we recommend for the property.  The property will be included in the catalogue as one ore more lots.

Additional Charges
For every lot, Phillips de Pury & Company generally charges the seller a vendor’s commission and sale-related expenses which include the cost of insuring the property while on our premises, charges for catalogue photography and costs for property transport.  Our specialists will discuss these charges with you at the time of consignment.

Payment
After the auction, Phillips de Pury & Company will notify the seller as to the status of each lot offered for sale.  Provided payment has been received by the buyer, we will pay net sale proceeds (the hammer price less the vendor’s commission and sale-related expenses) to the seller 35 calendar days after the auction.
